Simply get in contact with Benfleet Scrap Co to obtain an up-to-date quotation regarding how much your scrap vehicle is worth. Once you have confirmed that you are happy with this price, we can arrange for a driver to come to collect your car if you are unable to drive it to one of our four depots in Essex. 

It doesn’t take long to recover your vehicle – just a matter of minutes in fact. However, please note that this will depend on how where your car is located and how easy or difficult it is to safely load onto the recovery vehicle. 

Scrap car collection Billericay – do I need to be there when my vehicle is collected?

The registered owner of the car doesn’t need to be present so please do not worry about taking time off work. However, someone does need to be there, such as a trusted friend, relative or neighbour.

You or they will need: 

• The vehicle’s V5C (log book) and/or keys 
• If you only have one of the above, we will require another form of ownership – this could be a tax reminder or SORN document dated within the past three months
• Personal identification. Ideally this should be a photo driving licence but we will also accept an in date passport and utility bill dated within three months will your (or your representative’s) full address

Please note that if you do not have the car’s V5C or keys, we will be unable to scrap the vehicle.

Scrap car collection Billericay – how will I get paid?

Benfleet Scrap Co makes payment as simple as possible, but legally we have to follow these rules:

• When collecting your vehicle on your behalf we can either pay you by cheque or cash. 

• The only way we can pay by cash is if your scrap vehicle holds a valid MOT certificate. 

• If paying by cheque, we are legally required to make it out to the person present during collection – hence why it needs to be someone you trust if you are unable to be there.
