When it comes to scrapping your vehicle, we would prefer to have both your V5C (log book) and car keys. Sadly, if you don’t have either of these, we are unable to scrap your car.

However, if you only have your V5C, we can still scrap your vehicle. If you only have your keys, as long as you have another proof of ownership (such as a SORN document or tax reminder dated within the past 6 months), we can scrap your car.

The person present when we collect will need some form of identification. Ideally this should be a photo driving license but if you don’t have this, and in-date passport and utility bill that shows your name and address, dated within the past 6 months will be accepted.
