How do I sell my car for scrap?

Basildon scrap car buyer, Benfleet Scrap Co makes selling your scrap vehicle simple and hassle free. Simply call us to obtain a quotation, which is matched against our database, metal and used car prices in order to deliver the best possible price to you.

If your car can still be driven safely and legally, all you need to do is bring it to our Basildon scrap depot. There we will take the relevant documentation and ID and pay you, either by debit card refund, cheque or if you are a regular customer, your Benfleet loyalty card.

If your car is no longer roadworthy, just give us a call and we will make arrangements to collect your vehicle at absolutely no cost to you.

Won't be around for when we collect your vehicle? Don't worry – you can ask a friend, family member or neighbour to be at your Basildon home, garage or lock-up instead. When collecting, we can pay by cheque or, if you have a valid MOT for your car, by cash.

What is a 'complete' vehicle?

Like most scrap car buyers, Benfleet Scrap Co price vehicles based on our database, metal and used car prices to ensure that our quotations are always highly competitive. However, these quotations are based on your vehicle being 'complete'.

A 'complete' car is just that – a vehicle with no major parts missing. If your car doesn't have a door handle or the wing mirror is broken, don't worry. But if it's missing something major such as its wheels or engine, our Basildon scrap buyers are unable to price your vehicle as a 'complete' car.

In these cases, your vehicle will be priced on weight only. We will use our weighbridge to determine your car's weight and quote based on those results.
