We are a family run business, having been into recycling for in excess of 40 years. Benfleet Scrap Co was incorporated in 1996, adding to the two yards already owned and trading by the Leeman family. In 2002 Benfleet Scrap purchased Laindon Metals, extending the non ferrous arm of the metal business. In 2006 we added the waste transfer side to our licence at Benfleet.
Benfleet and Laindon provides over 100 thousand tonnes of ferrous and 15 thousand tonnes of non ferrous annually for the use in manufacturing new products.
We recycle over 3 thousand tonnes of non hazardous industrial waste per annum.
